OrientDig spreadsheet belts: size before style
Belt rows often show the buckle prominently while the measurement that controls fit is buried or missing. Start with a belt that fits you, measure from the buckle pin to the hole you use, and compare that distance to the seller chart. The total strap length alone can mislead because buckles and tail lengths vary.

Three measurements to compare
Check fit on the current marketplace listing before selecting a color or hardware finish. These measurements answer different questions:
Usable length
Find the distance from the buckle pin to the middle hole or a chart that explains its method. Compare it with a belt you already wear. A generic 90/95/100 size label may not equal your waist measurement.
Strap width
Measure your trousers’ belt loops. A wide statement belt may not pass through narrow loops even if its length is right; a slim strap may sit loosely in wider denim loops.
Buckle and hole spacing
Look for close-ups showing pin, prong, reversible mechanism, and hole spacing. These determine adjustment range and whether a detachable buckle is actually included.

What belt QC photos can confirm
A preview image is not a measurement or a guarantee of finish. If warehouse photos are available after purchase, compare the received belt with the exact color and buckle variant you selected. See the QC photos guide for the difference between catalog reference images and warehouse inspection photos.
- Full strap laid flat with length and width visible against a ruler
- Buckle face and reverse side for scratches, alignment, and mechanism
- Hole spacing, end shape, and edge paint along both sides
- Stitching around the buckle fold, keeper, and strap tip
- Actual hardware color against the ordered variant
Do not use a logo or seller claim as proof of authenticity. A QC badge only indicates that reference photos exist for that listing; review the photos and the live item page yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Should I choose a belt by my trouser waist size?
Use a belt you already wear as the first reference. Measure from buckle pin to your usual hole and compare with the seller’s measurement method. Trouser labels and belt labels use different conventions.
Is a “reversible” title enough to assume two finishes?
No. Check the live listing for both sides of the strap and a close-up of the buckle’s rotation or release mechanism. Confirm the selected variant includes that hardware.
